The Copper Whale Inn bed breakfast is located in the heart of Anchorage, convenient to the city s restaurants, galleries, museums and attractions. Our West End location offers stunning views across Cook Inlet to the Alaska Range and convenient access to the 11-mile Coastal Trail. Binoculars in the Living Room help you to spot bald eagles, beluga whales and other passing wildlife. Innkeeper Glen Hemingson is on hand to answer questions and offer suggestions for activities and excursions. The stylish and historic main house is one of the few structures that survived the 1964 Anchorage earthquake, and contrasts with nearby downtown high-rises. Our fourteen guest rooms are restful and inviting. A stone-trimmed fireplace warms the spacious Living Room where breakfast is served. Lush gardens grace the grounds in the summer season. Comfort, convenience and natural wonders come together to create a relaxing respite for travelers at the Copper Whale Inn.
