We are PCI DSS Complaint, which in layman's terms means we undergo quarterly scans/audits done by a QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) to ensure we are following the latest data security standards. In cases where we need to store your personal data such as when you create a Cheaper Bookings account, a well-designed algorithm that follows the latest security best practices encrypts your personal data and then stores it in a secure database. We also take additional measures when it comes to the security of your data by having a trusted third party that undergoes security & compliance audits hold onto one of two decryption keys, we hold onto one key and the third party holds onto the other key, both keys are needed to decrypt your data which adds an additional layer of security. Our servers are located in a secure Level 1 PCI compliant data center which undergoes quarterly audits done by a trusted third party to confirm security and compliance.

Information we collect

1: When you visit our website or use any of our services, we collect information that could potentially help us identify who you are this information includes your IP Address, browser make and version, your current Internet Service Provider (ISP), your operating system, device make and model, mobile carrier, geo location, referring website, exit pages, screen width/height and unique device identification numbers. We have legitimate reasons why we collect this information, for instance the information that we collect plays a large part in helping us detect and prevent fraud.

2: When you register for a Cheaper Bookings account on our website or through our application, we collect your personal information such as your email address, first name, last name, telephone number and your full address. Additionally we also give our users the ability to create an account or sign into our application using their Google or Facebook account, Google and Facebook are their own separate brands, we advise that you read their terms and privacy policy under the condition that you decide to login into your Cheaper Bookings account using Google or Facebook.

4: Each time you perform a search for any of our products whether it be a hotel search, airfare or rental car search, we store your search history, such as the searched location, dates, times and any other information that you are required to type or select from an input field. 5: We collect your billing information, payment information and in certain cases, we may need to collect your passport or driver's license number to assist you with a booking. whenever you book a travel product through us, we collect this information so we can charge you for a particular product or service that you book whether it be a booking for a hotel room, flight or rental car. How and why your information is used

We use your information to help us determine and prevent fraudulent activity, we also use your information so we can display custom travel product recommendations, this assures us that you are getting the best possible experience. Additionally, we use your information for our own internal analytical reasons. We may also use your information to help us achieve better targeting for our marketing efforts. Under certain circumstances, such as booking a hotel, flight, rental car or travel insurance, we are required to pass your information over to our trusted suppliers in order to complete a booking.

Privacy of Underaged Children.

Children are not allowed to access our website or applications. All visitors, users must be of legal age to make use of our services, products or contact our support centers. We will reject any information that is knowingly passed to us by a child.

We store your data for however long is needed to provide you with a particular service. You can contact us at any time to have your data removed from our database and in some case you could log into you Cheaper Bookings account and remove it yourself.
