the hotel continental is situated a few metres above the sea in a beautiful corner of the historical centre of sorrento with mount vesuvius and the bay of naples providing a stunning backdrop - you enter the hotel from one of the most beautiful squares in sorrento - surrounded by flowers and mediterranean trees - and through a revolving wooden door with glass and red carrara marble panels on either side - over the past three years hotel continental has undergone a complete renovation and today guests will be delighted by the stylish interior - red is the predominant colour - featuring in the corridors - the restaurant and in the red and white marble flooring - the stunning main reception and lounge area boasts beautiful chandeliers - old furniture from sorrento - a black le corbusier sofa - two magnificent oil paintings of old sorrento and lithographs signed by andy warhol - four other lounges - furnished in classic style with comfortable sofas and armchairs - a small library - a bar and an internet point are also available to ensure guests have everything they need - one of the lounges enjoys a splendid view over the large outdoor swimming pool - an ideal place to relax with the sunbeds and umbrellas provided or enjoy a pizza or snack at the poolside snack bar - for those wishing to go to the beach this can be reached from all floors of the hotel by means of an elevator - hotel continental offers a selection of 85 rooms and suites - all very bright and colourful with vietri ceramic flooring and co-ordinating soft furnishings - and many with a seaview - the rooms have ensuite facilities and are well appointed to ensure the comfort of guests - with features including sky satellite tv - wifi access and direct dial phones - our welcoming restaurant is open throughout the day - serving a rich buffet breakfast - lunch and an a la carte dinner menu of local italian dishes and international cuisine .

by car from nap-naples capodichino airport take highway a3 napoli-salerno and take the exit for castellamare di stabia - costiera sorrentina. Follow directions for sorrento. Drive through the centre of sorrento until you reach piazza tasso and follow directions for the hotel.
