Year Built - 1959 Year Remodeled - 2015 Additional Property Description - Tamaca Beach Resort Hotel has an outdoor pool and a fitness center. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Business amenities at this 3.5-star property include a business center and meeting rooms. Dining options at the hotel include 2 restaurants along with a poolside bar and a bar/lounge. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Additional amenities include a complimentary childrens club/ multilingual staff/ and tour/ticket assistance. The hotel was called Tamaca to honor the stream with the same name. This stream meanders the spurs of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range it passes through the Gaira small village and flows into El Rodadero bay/ several meters south of the hotel. The privileged location of the hotel was the ancestral place of worship for the Gaira indians. To celebrate very special occasions/ they went to this site on pilgrimage from the Gaira small village to the beach/ taking the royal path parallel to Tamaca stream.
