Description

A family favorite for its beautiful beach friendly ambiance and five-star services The Royal Islander offers fully equipped two-bedroom master suites which sleep six and have a kitchen living/dining area and a terrace. One-bedroom suites and rooms are also available. Resort features include pools tennis courts activities for children teens and adults two restaurants a store tour and car rental desks. The resort is located behind the Cancun Maya Museum and an ancient Mayan site.

Directions

Cancun Intl It is a 20-minute drive to The Royal Islander from Cancun International Airport. When leaving the airport access road follow the signs to the Zona Hotelera Hotel Zone. Once you are in the Hotel Zone youll first drive east towards the ocean and then turn left at Punta Nizuc. Youll then head north along Boulevard Kukulcan through the Hotel Zone passing Playa Delfines on your right and El Rey archaeological site a golf course and Nichupte Lagoon on your left. The turnoff for The Royal Islander is clearly marked at Km 17 to the right immediately before the San Miguelito archaeological site and the Cancun Maya Museum. The resort lies next to The Royal Caribbean.

Recreation

Families will enjoy the beach at The Royal Islander beach activities include volleyball and sand castle building and there are sun loungers and thatched palapas for shade. There is a large pool and a separate childrens pool which are heated during the winter. Pool activities include water aerobics pool volleyball and snorkeling demonstrations. The daily resort activity program features yoga aerobics crafts and beach fun. Water sports such as snorkeling trips scuba diving windsurfing fishing and boat trips can be arranged at the in-house travel agency. There are lighted tennis courts at the resort and tennis gear can be signed out at the Sports Desk.
