Description

At five minutes walking from the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti, the hotel is located on the famous Via Veneto , renowned as the meeting place of artists, writers and actors during the Dolce Vita period and is now an enchanting pedestrian area, close to the city s main attractions. The magnificent Art Nouveau style building was built between 1892 and 1894. The recent remodeling job which was completed at the beginning of 2009, has left the Art Nouveau style staircase, the stairway skylights, the decorated windows and the ochre marble columns untouched but has created two new areas extending off the main impressive hall. The hotel was chosen by Queen Margherita of Savoy as her residence while she awaited the completion of her noble residence. The excellent service, hospitality and kindness shown to the Savoy royalty were such that, in 1911, the hotel s owner was granted permission to give the hotel the name Regina and to decorate the emblem with the Royal coat of arms. The Brunello Bar and Restaurant, with its exclusive entrance directly off Via Veneto, transports its guests into a unique atmosphere where traditional Italian elegance blends perfectly with contemporary design. Similar to a classy atelier, it offers a modern lounge bar and 3 elegant restaurant areas with an unmatchable atmosphere created by the magical play of lights from handcrafted Moroccan lamps and contemporary focal lighting.
